      AIRCHECK OF THE WEEK
      Edition #1205 - July 24, 2022

      DON K. REED
      WCBS-FM New York
      June 10, 1990 (UNSCOPED)

      (The Don Shuttleworth Collection)

He spun doo-wops for more than a-quarter century on WCBS-FM.

From 1975 to 2002, Don K. Reed held court every Sunday night at 101.1 with some of the greatest street-corner harmonies ever heard. All told, Reed spent 34 years at WCBS-FM, one of the  station's longest-running hosts. Reed died July 16 at the age of 77.

Enjoy Don K. Reed with the Doo-Wop Shop on WCBS-FM from June 10, 1990 (UNSCOPED) ... in the Aircheck of the Week.
